Excellent written and verbal communications skills, competent in Microsoft Office including Word
A Legal Secretary/Assistant is required to provide administrative support to a small law firm in Kingston, Jamaica. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day office routine work, including drafting legal documents, filing documents in court, and performing general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be competent in Microsoft Office, including Word, and have a high school diploma with at least 5 CSEC subjects, including English.
The duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting and preparing legal documents, such as contracts and court filings
- Filing documents in court and ensuring timely submission
- Providing administrative support to lawyers and other staff members
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and files
- Handling phone calls, emails, and other correspondence
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work well in a team environment.
